Hongkong Post Customer Liaison Group 2010 - 2011

Hongkong Post Customer Liaison Group 2010 - 2011

Your Participation Helps Us Serve You Better!

Hongkong Post (HKP) is committed to providing accessible, reliable and affordable postal services, and we highly value our relationship with customers. With this in mind, we set up the HKP Customer Liaison Group (CLG) to seek customers' views on our service performance.

Role

CLG aims to assist in monitoring the fulfillment of HKP's performance pledges and serve as a platform for communication between HKP and its customers. Both parties will have opportunities to exchange views on postal operational and service issues related to the performance pledges (except for issues of policy, postage fees or other charges). CLG is a non-statutory public liaison group.

Objectives

  • To enhance customers' understanding of HKP's products and services;
  • To improve HKP's understanding of customers' needs and their views on postal services;
  • To gauge customers' opinions on HKP's performance and quality of service, thereby enabling the enhancement of operational efficiency and service standards.

Member Composition

The composition of members is as follows:
  • Representatives from 18 District Councils;
  • Customers selected from HKP's customer database; and
  • Members of the public recruited through open application.

If the number of applicants exceeds the number of seats available, membership will be decided by drawing lots. In assessing the qualification of applicants, HKP will make reference to its past records with the liaison group and conduct identity verification where necessary. Successful applicants will be notified individually by mail.

Terms of Service

The terms of service of CLG members will expire on 31 December 2011. If a member resigns before the end of the term, a replacement will be selected from the reserve list to serve for the duration of the remaining term.

Arrangement of Meetings

  • The meetings will be chaired by the Postmaster General. Other officers of HKP may also attend to answer enquiries on specific postal issues.
  • Site visits and meetings will be arranged as far as possible at suitable times and venues. Members will be notified by mail in advance of the details.

Remuneration

Participation in CLG's activities and meetings is voluntary. No remuneration in any form will be made to members for their service or attendance at meetings.

Application Method

CLG leaflet, along with application form, is available at all post offices. Application form can also be downloaded from HKP's website (www.hongkongpost.com). Interested parties should return the completed application forms by mail to Customer Service Section, Hongkong Post, Freepost No. 10 (postage paid) or via the Suggestion Box at any post office, or by fax to 2523 3505 on or before 5 March 2010. Online application via HKP's website is also accepted before the above deadline.

HKP reserves the final right to change the above Terms and Conditions.
