Belgica 2001
The Postmaster General, Mr. P. C. LUK, announced today (1 June 2001) that Hongkong Post, represented by its philatelic agent Nordfrim, will participate in an international stamp exhibition "Belgica 2001". The exhibition, organized by the Belgian Post, will be held at The International Convention and Exhibition Centre, Brussels, Belgium from 9 to 15 June 2001. The exhibition will be organized in commemoration of "500 Years European Post". Hong Kong's participation will help promote Hong Kong Special Administrative Region stamps to overseas philatelists.
Hongkong Post will issue a cachet to commemorate the exhibition. Stamping of philatelic items by the cachet will be available locally as follows:
