Special Philatelic Product Issue - Postage Prepaid Christmas Greeting Cards 2001
The Postmaster General, Mr. P. C. LUK, announced today the reduction of surcharges for its Speedpost Time Certain Service with effect from 1 November 2001. At the same time, the service will also be extended to accept non-document items for Singapore. Details of the new surcharges for the various destinations at their respective delivery standards are as follows:

* The surcharge is applied in addition to the normal Speedpost postage.

"The new service surcharge represents a price reduction of around 10% to 37%, and I am sure that customers will find the service cost-effective and convenient."
"Contemporaneous with the price revision, the Speedpost Time Certain Service to Singapore will be extended to include merchandize, gifts and samples. It is part of our continuous effort to improve the Speedpost service," Mr. LUK added.
