Mr. WONG, distinguished guests and fellow colleagues,
It gives me great pleasure in officiating at today's Ceremony on Hongkong Post Logistics - a Gift Redemption Service for Standard Chartered Credit Card, and certainly Hongkong Post is very privileged to have the opportunity to venture with our first client, the Standard Chartered Bank. I am glad that as the service launches today, we witness an enhanced partnership between the two organisations.
Subsequent to PayThruPost, Hongkong Post Logistics Service is one of the major projects in our development plan. As a matter of fact, in addition to the Standard Chartered Bank, we have been developing logistic services with various government departments as well as the private sector for the last year or so. These collaborations not only gave us practical experiences but also strengthened our confidence in developing the service.
Having established a delivery network that virtually covers every corners of the territory, we have the edge to provide logistics service conveniently through our 130 post offices strategically located in residential and commercial areas. We also believe that, in providing logistics service to the community, we are adding values to our resources and reducing overall operation costs. In spite of that, we will continue our efforts in achieving consistently the highest levels of customer satisfaction.
Last of all, on behalf of the staff of Hongkong Post, I would like to thank you for joining us at the ceremony. I trust that our totally committed staff will strive to make this service a real success and excel through development, teamwork and innovation.
