Send Your Regards Via Postshop Special Collectible Series
The Postmaster General, Mr. P. C. LUK, announced today that a series of new postal souvenirs has been introduced in the coming festive seasons.Concurrently, discounts are offered on some of the existing products.
"We have developed a new range of exquisite postal souvenirs to bring delight in the Christmas season. There are altogether five new products, namely Crystal Chess Set, Crystal Photo Frame, Mr. Postman, Mail Bag Pen Holder and Posting Box Bookmark," said Mr. LUK.
Details of these new items are as follows:
- Hong Kong Historical Stamp Series - Crystal Chess Set (Price: HK$4,580)
This exquisite Crystal Chess Set is delicately crafted from Austrian crystal and available at limited edition of 500 pieces. It illustrates a brief history of Hong Kong Definitive Stamps history from 1862 to 1999. The chessboard bears engraving of definitive stamps of different times. Each set has an individual serial number and certificate, signifying its unique collectible value.
- Crystal Photo Frame (Price: HK$358)
Also made of Austrian crystal, this photo frame is engraved with the theme of the definitive stamp featuring the Tsing Ma Bridge, and can be used for displaying 3R photo. It is eminently suitable for decorating desktops.

Mr. Postman is a miniature of Hongkong Post postman in full winter uniform of the present time. This 12-inch tall figurine is equipped with a delivery pouch on his shoulder. It is not only a souvenir, but also a fine collectible epitomizing the hard-working spirit and dedication of the postal workers. A serial number is printed on the paper box of each Mr. Postman, adding to it more value for collection.
- Mail Bag Pen Holder (Price: HK$16)
A replica of Hongkong Post mail bag made of polyresin and can be used as a pen holder.
- Posting Box Bookmark (Price: HK$20)
This uniquely designed bookmark is a silver card cropped in the shape of a posting box.
"These new products are now available for sale. At the same time, as a compliment to our customers, we offer discount on some selected items, " said Mr. LUK. "These include 'Sam the Speedpostman Figurine' and 'Sam Watches Casual Collection'. Both are good ideal presents for the Christmas season."
Sam the Speedpostman set consists of 10 figurines. All in Hongkong Post uniform but wear hats of different styles representing different countries. The whole set comes with an elegant wooden base. The selling price is reduced to $268 from the original price $488.
Sam Watches Casual Collection has 2 styles, one with a trendy plastic strap, and the other with a classic leather strap either in brown or black. The prices are reduced to $138 and $148 from $168 and $188 respectively.
All these products are now available for sale at all the 46 Postshop outlets, while the Crystal Chess Set will only be displayed and sold at GPO Postshop.
