Hongkong Post's Participation in the "World Cup on Stamps Exhibition - In Commemoration of the Participation of the Chinese Team in the 2002 World Cup"
The Postmaster General, Mr Luk Ping-chuen, announced today (May 13) that Hongkong Post will participate in the "World Cup on Stamps Exhibition - In Commemoration of the Participation of the Chinese Team in the 2002 World Cup" to be held from May 16 to June 2 at the Exhibition Gallery Star House Book Centre of The Commercial Press (HK) Limited.
The exhibition is organised by The Commercial Press (HK) Limited, co-organised by Hongkong Post and the China Philatelic Association to promote philately.
The opening hours of the Exhibition are as follows:
16 May: 4 pm - 9 pm
17 May - 2 June: 11 am - 9 pm
Hongkong Post will display running proof of the "In Commemoration of the Participation of the Chinese Team in the 2002 World Cup" mini-pane and provide photographs of the stamp productions at the venue.
A cachet will be introduced to commemorate this exhibition. The cachet will be available at the exhibition venue from May 16 to June 2. Application of the cachet will also be available at 38 philatelic offices on normal working days during the exhibition period.
Two philatelic workshops on the theme of "Demonstration of Philatelic Tools", organised by The Commercial Press (HK) Limited will be held at 2.30 pm on May 25 and June 1 respectively. A seminar on the topic of "Stamp Designer and Stamp Design" will also be conducted at 2 pm on May 26.
