World Cup Commemorative Stamps Issuing Ceremony and Stamps Exhibition Opening Ceremony
Hongkong Post issued today (May 16) the "In Commemoration of the Participation of the Chinese Team in the 2002 World Cup" Commemorative Stamps.
Acting Postmaster General, Mr Allan Chiang, officiated at the World Cup on Stamps Exhibition Opening Ceremony cum Hongkong Post's "In Commemoration of the Participation of the Chinese Team in the 2002 World Cup" Commemorative Stamps Issuing Ceremony at Star House Book Centre of The Commercial Press (HK) Limited this afternoon.
He was joined by member of the International Olympic Committee, Mr Timothy Fok, and Managing Director and Chief Editor of The Commercial Press (HK) Ltd., Dr Chan Man-hung. They officiated the issue of these commemorative stamps by stamping a blow-up first day cover.
As a memento of the occasion, Mr Chiang presented to Mr Fok, Dr Chan and Mr Bon Kwan, designer of these commemorative stamps, framed stamps and first day covers.
