"Beijing - Kowloon Through Trains" Special Stamps Issuing Ceremony

Hongkong Post issued today (June 9) the "Beijing - Kowloon Through Trains" special stamps. This morning at the General Post Office, Postmaster General, Mr Luk Ping-chuen, was joined by the Chairman of Travel Industry Council of Hong Kong, Mr Ronnie Yuen, to officiate at the ceremony of issuing the special stamps by stamping a blow-up first day cover. As a memento of the occasion, Mr Luk presented to Mr Yuen a framed stamps and first day covers.

Hongkong Post hosted an issuing ceremony of the "Beijing - Kowloon Through Trains" special stamps at the General Post Office on 9 June 2002. Mr. P. C. LUK (right), the Postmaster General and Mr. Ronnie YUEN (left), Chairman of Travel Industry Council of Hong Kong, officiated the issue by stamping a blow-up first day cover.
