Hongkong Post Launches "Speedpost to Mainland - Lowest rate now down to $80" Promotion campaign

The Acting Postmaster General, Mr. Allan CHIANG, announced today the launch of a promotion campaign for its Speedpost Service to Mainland China to commemorate the fifth anniversary of the establishment of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. Discounted postage rates will be offered to customers who send Speedpost documents weighing 1kg or less to Mainland China during the period from 1 July 2002 to 31 December 2002 inclusive.

"To offer better value to our customers, Speedpost postage rates for documents weighing 1 kg or less addressed to designated major cities and other areas in Mainland China will be reduced to as low as $80 during the period from 1 July 2002 to 31 December 2002," said Mr. CHIANG. "At the same time, we have regrouped Hangzhou and Wenzhou?into the cities under Mainland China as from today. Customers can enjoy even more attractive rates for sending Speedpost items to these two cities," Mr. CHIANG continued.

Speedpost provides fast and reliable courier service for sending time-sensitive packages to more than 90 countries and regions in other parts of the world. Speedpost service is available at 130 post offices, including mobile post offices, throughout the territory and on-demand pick-up service is also available.
