The Acting Postmaster General, Mr Allan CHIANG, announced today (July 5) that a definitive stamp sheetlet (No. 7) will be issued on Saturday (July 27) to commemorate Hongkong Post's participation in the PHILAKOREA2002 World Stamp Exhibition, which will be held at the COEX Exhibition Centre in Korea from August 2 to 11. PHILAKOREA2002 is a world stamp exhibition that was officially granted patronage of the Federation Internationale de Philatelie (FIP). The stamp sheetlet depicts the traditional Korean drum dance - sambuk.
The stamp sheetlet is designed by Mr Paul LUNG and printed in photogravure by Joh. Enschede Security Printers, the Netherlands. This stamp sheetlet incorporates a $10 definitive stamp and will be sold at $10 each. To match the overall sheetlet design, the Optical Variable Ink printed on the text ($10 Hong Kong, China) of the definitive stamp has been correspondingly changed from the current gold and blue colours to purple and violet colours. Besides, a presentation pack containing a stamp sheetlet will also be available for sale at $18 each at all post offices on July 27.
As from July 6, the stamp sheetlet and the presentation pack will be displayed for advance information of the public at the General Post Office, Tsim Sha Tsui Post Office, Tsuen Wan Post Office and Shatin Central Post Office. Official souvenir cover at $1 each will be put on sale at all post offices on the same day. Advance orders for servicing self-provided souvenir covers will be accepted at all post offices from July 6 to 13.

A restriction of twenty stamp sheetlets, five serviced souvenir covers and five presentation packs per customer queuing will be imposed on the first day of issue on July 27 and on subsequent days until stock lasts.
Hand back service will be provided at all post offices on July 27 to official and privately-made covers bearing an indication of the event and a local address. A special postmark and cachet will also be introduced to commemorate the event.
