MonacoPhil 2002

The Acting Postmaster General, Mr Allan Chiang, announced today (November 28) that Hongkong Post will be represented by its philatelic agent Nordfrim to participate in the international stamp exhibition "MonacoPhil 2002". The exhibition, organised by the Monaco Post and the Stamp and Coin Museum of Monaco, will be held in Monaco from November 29 to December 1. Hong Kong's participation will help promote Hong Kong Special Administrative Region stamps to overseas philatelists.
Hongkong Post will not issue any special stamp product to commemorate its participation in the exhibition. However, a cachet will be introduced for application locally as follows:

The enclosed photograph shows the specimen impression of the cachet to be issued on 29 November 2002 on the theme "MonacoPhil 2002".
