The Acting Postmaster General, Mr Allan Chiang announced that the Postal Gallery at Ground floor of the General Post Office will display a new series of exhibits on the theme of "Hong Kong Disneyland" Special Stamps from December 2.
The exhibits include running sheets of the "Hong Kong Disneyland" new stamps and drawings showing the design concept. A series of new exhibits on franking machines and envelopes with franker labels will also be displayed at the "History Corner".
To tie in with the exhibition, a set of 4 cachets in colours of magenta, purple, green and cyan depicting the "Hong Kong Disneyland" special stamp images will be available for application at the Postal Gallery, from December 2, together with the usual "Postal Gallery" cachet.
The 4-colour cachets on "Year of the Horse" currently in use will be withdrawn as from December 1.
To facilitate visitors in keeping the cachet impressions, the four postcards issued previously to commemorate the opening of the Postal Gallery will be put on sale individually at the Philatelic Counter of General Post Office starting from December 2. The selling price of each postcard is HK$3.
