Suspension of mail delivery on January 1

The Postmaster General, Mr Luk Ping-chuen, announced today (December 24) that there would be no mail delivery during the forthcoming public holiday on January 1, 2003 (The New Year Day).

All post offices would also be closed. However, one mail collection would be arranged for all posting boxes except those which are located on outlying islands and in remote areas.
