Launching Ceremony of International Fulfilment Service for Australian Natural Products
The Acting Postmaster General, Mr. TSANG Kwok-lam, announced today (11 July) the launching of International Fulfilment Service for Australian Natural Products, in collaboration with Australia Post.
This afternoon at the General Post Office, Mr. TSANG was joined by Mr. Peter OSBORNE from Australian Trade Commission in Hong Kong to officiate the ceremony. To symbolize the official launch of the service, Mr. Peter OSBORNE gave the first package of Australian products including health products, premium wines and wildflowers to Mr. TSANG for delivery.
Hongkong Post and Australia Post have teamed up with the renowned merchants of Western Australia in presenting unique product offers for the Service. Now members of the public can fill in the order forms and place orders for a wide range of exclusive products from Western Australia including natural pollen, certified organic avocado oil, medicated honey and sandalwood oil, wildflowers as well as premium boutique wines. The completed order forms can be returned in person at any post office, by fax or mail. Customers can also order on-line at the iShop website of Hongkong Post. Hongkong Post will arrange with Australia Post to send all ordered products to Hong Kong via Speedpost, clear the custom duties on behalf of the customers in the case of wine, and deliver the products to the recipients at door.
"With the positive public feedback of the Wine Fulfilment Service launched last year, we are confident that other quality Australian products will also be well received by our customers," said Mr. TSANG. "We believe that this one-stop shop arrangement would undoubtedly bring additional shopping convenience to the public in Hong Kong."
