Hongkong Post today (4 September) announced the official launch of the "Postal Plus for SME" programme to provide one-stop and cost-efficient solutions to address the needs of 300,000 plus SMEs in Hong Kong for support in postal services, logistics, direct marketing and e-Commerce.
This afternoon at the Regal Hongkong Hotel, Mr. Allan CHIANG, Postmaster General, was joined by Mr. CHAN Wing-kee, GBS, JP, Chairman of Small and Medium Enterprises Committee (SMEC) to officiate a launching ceremony. As the highlight of the ceremony, Mr. CHIANG and Mr. CHAN together affixed on the backdrop the ‘PostalPlus for SME' logo to symbolise the commencement of the offer of a range of value-added services for SMEs. In addition, representatives of various SME associations, trade associations and service organizations have shown full support to the programme by joining at the ceremony a champagne toasting for the success of the programme.
Faced with a fast-changing business environment and intense market competition, SMEs always need to tackle many business challenges with limited resources and support, in particular the containing of operational costs while at the same time exploring new ways to be more cost effective to promote their products and services. To help Hong Kong's SMEs overcome business challenges and enhance their competitive advantage, Hongkong Post rolls out the "PostalPlus for SME" programme to provide support, information and cost-efficient solutions to address their business needs related to direct marketing and customer order fulfillment.
More importantly, all SMEs in Hong Kong can register from now on as members of PostalPlus for SME free of charge. Upon registration, PostalPlus members will receive a welcome offer package from Hongkong Post. This welcome offer package consists of an array of benefits exclusive for members, including a welcome gift, free trial of premium time certain Speedpost service, discount for Hongkong Post Circular service, and waivers of registration/administration charges and minimum weight requirements for selected Hongkong Post services (see attached sheet). In addition to the welcome offer, PostalPlus members will regularly enjoy privilege offers for a bundle of postal services tailor-made for them.
PostalPlus members will also receive regular update of information about Hongkong Post services or market trends through newsletters or seminars. Furthermore, Hongkong Post will line up other business partners or service providers of SMEs to develop special service packages for members.

We will team up with these potential business partners to create new benefits and offers for our members so that they can reap the best value from the programme," Mr. CHIANG added.
