Holidays Arrangements during the coming National Day and Chung Yeung Festival

The Postmaster General, Mr. Allan CHIANG, announced today (23 September) that there would be no mail delivery during the coming public holiday on 1 October 2003 (National Day). All post offices would also be closed. However, one mail collection would be arranged from all posting boxes except those which are located on outlying islands and in remote areas.

Mr. Chiang also said that the same arrangement on mail delivery and mail collection service would be made on 4 October 2003 (Chung Yeung Festival). However, all post offices (except mobile post offices) would open from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. to provide the full range of normal counter services and sale of the "Special Stamp Issue - Hong Kong, China - Sweden Joint Stamp Issue on Waterbirds".
