Hongkong Post Introduces New Collectible
The Postmaster General, Mr. Allan CHIANG, announced today (24 September) that a new PostShop collectible, "Crystal Old Wan Chai Post Office", which hitherto has been for sale only to Local Standing Order Services customers, will be put on sale at 25 selected PostShop outlets as from 25 September 2003.
"This collectible is a crystal replicated from the old Wan Chai Post Office which was opened in 1915 and relocated in 1992. The building has been officially declared as historical monument and has become an Environmental Resource Centre since 1993," said Mr. Chiang.
This new collectible is elegantly crafted from high quality Austrian crystal. Issued in a limited worldwide edition of 2000 pieces only, each collectible comes with an individual serial number on its base and a product certificate. The selling price is $598 each.
Customers can also purchase the new PostShop collectible through the mail order service available at all post offices and the Hongkong Post website at http://www.hongkongpost.com.
