Yau Tong Post Office Takes on a New Look
A new Yau Tong Post Office opens today (15 December 2003) to replace the existing temporary office at Ko Yee Estate. Located at Unit 14, G/F., Wing Tong House, Yau Tong Estate, the new Yau Tong Post Office operates from 9:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on weekdays, and from 9:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Saturdays.
The Postmaster General, Mr. Allan CHIANG said, "The new Yau Tong Post Office is now more ideally located. Since the demolition of our old Yau Tong Post Office due to site clearance of the Ko Chiu Road Estate, we had, as an interim measure, set up a temporary post office at Ko Yee Estate to maintain postal service in the locality. The new Yau Tong Post Office is situated beside Lei Yue Mun Plaza, the focal point of the whole Yau Tong district where most of the daily needs of the community are met."
"This new office takes on a new modern look. With a more spacious public hall, it provides added comfort to customers. It contributes to the furtherance of our corporate purpose - Linking People, Delivering Business," added Mr.CHIANG.
The Yau Tong Post Office was opened on 15 December 2003. In line with Hongkong Post's corporate identity which is modern, innovative and service-oriented, a new design is adopted. The enclosed photo shows the outlook of the Yau Tong Post Office.
