"5th Inter-School Stamp Exhibits Competition"

The Postmaster General, Mr. Allan CHIANG, announced today (16 January 2004) that the Exhibition for the 5th Inter-School Stamp Exhibits Competition will be held at the HONG KONG 2004 Stamp Expo at Hall 1, Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre from 30 January to 3 February 2004. The Competition was organised by Hongkong Post, with the Education and Manpower Bureau as co-organiser. The objectives of the Competition are to promote philately among students and to increase young people's interest in stamp collecting.

The winning entries as well as all other stamp exhibits submitted for the Competition will be displayed at the HONG KONG 2004 Stamp Expo which is admission free to the public. The opening hours of the exhibition are:

• 30 January 2004 (Friday)
  10:30 a.m. - 6:30 p.m.
• 31 January to 2 February 2004 (Saturday - Monday)
  9:30 a.m. - 6:30 p.m.
• 3 February 2004 (Tuesday)
  9:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
  

Hongkong Post will issue a souvenir cover, special postmark and a cachet to commemorate the event. For details of sales arrangements of the souvenir cover, please refer to Appendix A.

Hand-back date-stamping service for official and privately made covers bearing an indication of the event and a local address will be provided on 30 January 2004. For details of arrangements for hand-back service with the special postmark and for application of cachet, please refer to Appendix B.
