HONG KONG 2004 Stamp Expo - Issuing Ceremony of Tourism Series No. 5 - Shopping Fun

The Acting Postmaster General, Mrs. Joanna CHOI, announced today (1 February 2004) that to commemorate HONG KONG 2004 Stamp Expo, a stamp issuing ceremony on Tourism Series No. 5 - Shopping Fun Stamp Sheetlet was held this morning and officiated by the Guest of Honour, Mr. Duncan PESCOD, Acting Commissioner for Tourism. Mrs. CHOI presented Mr. PESCOD a framed Stamp Sheetlet of the day as a memento of the event.

Mrs. CHOI invited the public to experience the great shopping fun at the HONG KONG 2004 Stamp Expo which will run until 3 February at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. Visitors can immerse themselves in the world of stamps, philatelic products, special stamp and banknote packs and most importantly, to put their own picture on stamps in the "My Stamp" souvenir sheet.

She reminded the public that three more philatelic products issued by Hongkong Post will be released in the remaining two days of the Expo, viz.

1. Tourism Series No. 6 - "Hong Kong - Live it, Love it!" Stamp Sheetlet (2 February 2004)
2. Prestige Collection of Stamp Sheetlets and Banknotes (2 February 2004)
3. Hong Kong Attractions Stamp Sheetlet (3 February 2004)
