"Children Stamps - My Favourite Toys and Games" Special Stamps
Hongkong Post issued today (7 April 2004) the "Children Stamps - My Favourite Toys and Games" Special Stamps, featuring the winning designs of the Children Stamps Design Competition 2003. A ceremony was held at the General Post Office to commemorate this special event. Four grand prize winners of the Children Stamps Design Competition 2003 were invited to affix their winning designs on the backdrop while Mr. Allan CHIANG, Postmaster General, and Mr. KU Kui-kei, Leo, completed the stamp images by adding other stamp elements onto the designs to signify the issue of this set of stamps.
As a memento of the occasion, Mr. CHIANG presented to Mr. KU and the four young stamp designers framed stamps and first day covers.
To promote this stamp issue, a game of "Great Bricks Count" will be launched. From 7 April 2004 to 15 May 2004, customers who purchase any stamp product of this stamp issue in the value of HK$11.80 would have a chance to win LEGO toys worth HK$10,000. For details of the game, please refer to the Appendix.
