Ordinary and Registered Letter Services to Ireland Resumed Normal

The Assistant Postmaster General (Postal), Mr. CHAN Yau-fung, announced today that as advised by the postal administration of Ireland, the industrial action taken by the postal workers in Ireland since 22 March 2004 is now ended. Special arrangements have since 5 April 2004 been made to handle backlog received in Ireland. Ordinary and registered letter services to Ireland will be back to normal from 8 April 2004.
