Hongkong Post to participate in Olympic Games stamps exhibition
The Postmaster General, Mr. Allan CHIANG, announced today (8 May 2004) that Hongkong Post will participate in the "Marching Forward to Athens - Olympic Games on Stamps Exhibition in 2004"to be held from 13 to 23 May 2004 at the Exhibition Gallery of The Commercial Press (HK) Limited's Star House Book Centre.
The exhibition is organised by The Commercial Press (HK) Limited, co-organised by Hongkong Post, Macau Post and The China Philatelic Association to promote philately.
Admission is free and the opening hours of the Exhibition are as follows:
13 - 23 May 2004 11:00 a.m. - 9:00 p.m.
Hongkong Post will display information and materials in connection with the production of the special stamps of "Sports" and the stamp sheetlet of "2004 Olympic Games" which will be released on 20 July 2004 and 13 August 2004 respectively. No sales booth will be set up at the venue.
A cachet will be introduced to commemorate this exhibition. The cachet will be available at the exhibition venue from 13 to 23 May 2004 throughout the exhibition period. Application of the cachet will also be available at the 39 philatelic offices (???) throughout normal business hours during the exhibition period.
