"Development of The Pearl River Delta Region" Special Stamps Issuing Ceremony
Hongkong Post issued today (19 October 2004) the "Development of the Pearl River Delta Region" Special Stamps. At a ceremony held in the morning at the General Post Office, Mr. Allan CHIANG, Postmaster General, Ms. Kitty CHOI, Head, Hong Kong Guangdong Cooperation Coordination Unit, and Mr. Stephen ALEXANDER, Deputy Executive Director, Marketing, Hong Kong Trade Development Council, marked the issue of the special stamps by stamping a blow-up first day cover. As a memento of the occasion, Mr. CHIANG presented to Ms. CHOI, Mr. ALEXANDER and Mr. Arde LAM, designer of these special stamps, framed stamps and first day covers.
