Hongkong Post Introduces New PostShop Souvenir
Hongkong Post offers free local posting to link caring hearts
The Postmaster General, Mr. Allan CHIANG, today announced that a new "Linking People" Pewter Coinbank would be added to the existing range of PostShop collectibles on 12 September 2005.
The unique and exquisite "Linking People" Pewter Coinbank is a special postal souvenir designed and crafted by the reputable pewter giftware manufacturer, Royal Selangor. Replicating the shape of a pillar posting box, the "Linking People" Pewter Coinbank portraits the vivid journey of a letter from writing to posting, collection and delivery, linking the sender with the recipient. With a limited worldwide edition of 1,000 pieces only, each item is serially numbered with a certificate of authenticity.
The "Linking People" Pewter Coinbank will be sold at 6 PostShop outlets (General Post Office, Tsim Sha Tsui, Kowloon Central, Shatin Central, Tsuen Wan and Airport Post Office) at a unit price of $499. Customers can also place mail orders for the new PostShop collectible at all post offices and via ShopThruPost website of Hongkong Post at www.shopthrupost.hk.
