The Postmaster General, Mr Allan CHIANG, announced today (29 March) that during the coming Easter holidays on 14-17 April 2006, there would be one mail delivery on Friday, 14 April 2006 (Good Friday). All post offices would be closed during the holidays except Airport Post Office, General Post Office and Tsim Sha Tsui Post Office which will open on Sunday, 16 April 2006 for provision of a full range of counter services. The business hours would be from 9am to 2 pm. Moreover, one mail collection would be arranged on 14 and 17 April 2006 respectively for all street posting boxes except those located on outlying islands and in remote areas. No mail collection from posting boxes would be provided on 15 and 16 April.
Mr CHIANG added that all post offices would be closed during Ching Ming Festival on 5 April, Labour Day on 1 May and the Budda's Birthday on 5 May. While there would be no mail delivery, one mail collection would be arranged on these three days for all street posting boxes except those located on outlying islands and in remote areas.
