Hongkong Post"One Person, One Letter" free posting activity

The Postmaster General Mr. TAM Wing-pong, today announced that 7 September 2006 is designated as "Hongkong Post Love and Care Day"in support of its service culture of "Care from the Heart". This follows the success of previous years' Love and Care Day when the offer of a free local delivery of a personal letter was launched to encourage the public to send caring messages to their loved ones.

"Letter-writing is an indispensable means of communication. It is also a powerful and meaningful way to communicate with someone important to you. Therefore, we're again organising the 'One Person, One Letter' activity for Love and Care Day. The programme also supports the 'Linking People' mission of our corporate purpose statement, 'Linking People, Delivering Business'.", says Mr. TAM. On the Love and Care day, customers are invited to send one postage-free letter to a special recipient in Hong Kong. To encourage the public to participate in the activity, there will be special posting boxes available at ten designated post offices spreading across Hong Kong Island, Kowloon and New Territories to receive their postings on that day (Please refer to the attachment for the details of posting arrangement and list of designated post offices). As a special gift to visiting customers on that day, all post office counters will give away a free Octopus cardholder till stock lasts.

For full information about the "One Person, One Letter"programme, please ask at your local post office or check out the Hongkong Post Website at www.hongkongpost.com, or call the Hongkong Post Hotline 2921 2222.
