The two Postage Prepaid Postcards can be sent via air mail without the need to affix an additional stamp.
The postcards are designed by Mr. Clement YICK and printed by the Government Logistics Department. The selling price per set of two postcards is $10 and the sales restriction per queuing customer is 5 sets.
The design of the Postage Prepaid Postcard Series uses a variety of elements to represent the prosperous future of the telecommunications industry. Streams of arrows and binary digits represent the industry's continuous growth through different stages. The outspread light beams illustrate the strength and power of the telecommunications that connect the world, helping to reduce the distance between people and link up businesses all over the globe. The cards also feature striking views of the well-known Victoria Harbour and Hong Kong skyline to reaffirm the message that ITU Telecom World 2006 is being held in Hong Kong.
A special postmark will be introduced and a hand-back datestamping service for the official postcards and privately-made covers, bearing the first day of issue indication and a local address, will be provided on 4 December 2006.
