Inter-School Stamp Exhibits competition awards presentation and exhibition opening ceremony
Hongkong Post today (April 20) held the 8th Inter-School Stamp Exhibits Competition - Awards Presentation and Exhibition Opening Ceremony at the Stars Atrium, Plaza Hollywood. Officiating were Deputy Postmaster General Mr Chan Yau-fung, Principal Education Officer (Curriculum Development) of Education and Manpower Bureau Mr Sheridan Lee, and President of the Boys' & Girls' Clubs Association of Hong Kong Mr Henry Wu.
The competition was to promote philately among students and increase general interest in stamp collecting. With support from parents, teachers and principals, 129 frames of stamp exhibits were received from the 209 students participating in this year's event. Awards were given out at the ceremony. The winners' list is attached at appendix.
All the students' exhibits as well as demonstration exhibits from the local philatelic associations will be displayed at the venue from today to next Monday (April 23).
