"China – Hong Kong Joint Issue on the 10th Anniversary of the Reunification of
Hong Kong with China" Special Stamps Issuing Ceremony
China Post and Hongkong Post issued today (1 July 2007) the "China - Hong Kong Joint Issue on the 10th Anniversary of the Reunification of Hong Kong with China" Special Stamps. At a ceremony held in the morning at the Shenzhen Children's Palace, Mr Zhang Yafei, Deputy General Manager of the China Post Group, Mr Xu Anliang, Deputy Secretary General of Shenzhen Municipal People's Government and Mr Tam Wing-pong, Postmaster General, Hongkong Post delivered a speech respectively. After that, the head of the Guangdong Post Company and five children, who were born in 1997, jointed them to launch the issue of these stamps.
Mr Zhang Yafei, Deputy General Manager of the China Post Group(third right); Mr Xu Anliang, Deputy Secretary General of Shenzhen Municipal People's Government (fifth right); Mr Tam Wing-pong, Postmaster General of Hongkong Post(first right) and the head of the Guangdong Post Company (second left) and five children, who were born in 1997, officiate at the "China - Hong Kong Joint Issue on the 10th Anniversary of the Reunification of Hong Kong with China" Special Stamps Issuing Ceremony.
The first day cover of the "10th Anniversary of the Reunification of Hong Kong with China" and the souvenir cover of the stamp exhibition were signed and datestamped with special postmark by Mr Xu Anliang, Deputy Secretary General of Shenzhen Municipal People's Government (first left); Mr Tam Wing-pong, Postmaster General of Hongkong Post (second left) and Mr Zhang Yafei, Deputy General Manager of the China Post Group(third left).
