Stamp sheetlet to commemorate Hongkong Post's participation in Asian exhibition (3 August 2007)
A stamp sheetlet to commemorate Hongkong Post's participation in BANGKOK 2007 would be released on August 3, the Postmaster General, Mr Tam Wing-pong, announced today (July 16). Associated stamp products will also be on sale as from the same date.
This special stamp sheetlet is issued to commemorate Hongkong Post's participation in the 20th Asian International Stamp Exhibition, an international philatelic event held in Bangkok, Thailand, from August 3 to 12. The design of this sheetlet evolves from an oil painting depicting distinctive features of Hong Kong and Thailand.
Official First Day Covers at $1 each will be on sale at all post offices as from Friday (July 20). The stamp sheetlet and the associated philatelic products will be displayed at the General Post Office and Tsim Sha Tsui, Tsuen Wan and Sha Tin Central Post Offices as from the same date. Advance orders for servicing self-provided covers will be accepted at all philatelic offices from July 20 to 26.
