Surface mail to Poland destroyed in accident

 Hongkong Post announced today (November 20) that 1,220 kilograms of surface mail items, posted in Hong Kong and destined for Poland during the period from September 3-29, 2007, were burnt and totally destroyed in a car accident in Poland on November 12 when the delivery truck was conveying the mail items to the Polish Post.  Hongkong Post regrets the inconvenience that may be caused to the public in Hong Kong as a result of the accident.  For enquiries, customers may call the hotline 2921 2211.
