Speedpost 'Next Flight Out' service launched

Hongkong Post today (October 17) introduced a new Speedpost service: the "Next Flight Out" (NFO) service, which offers speedy delivery to major Asian and European cities the same day at the earliest.

The "Next Flight Out" service has been jointly developed by Hongkong Post, Cathay Pacific Cargo and RPX Limited to offer customers a personified speedy courier solution for delivery of their highly time-sensitive items. By leveraging on Cathay Pacific Cargo and RPX's sophisticated overseas delivery network, the enriched service portfolio of Speedpost can now cater even better for more diversified customer needs.

Postmaster General Mr Tam Wing-pong said during the service launch ceremony today conducted jointly with Cathay Pacific Cargo and RPX Limited that, "Through this business collaboration with Cathay Pacific Cargo and RPX Limited, the Speedpost "Next Flight Out" service marks a breakthrough that improves the existing delivery standard and enhances the service features of Speedpost. With the new service, customers can now ship their urgent items more conveniently and effectively, giving them greater peace of mind and helping them to focus on their core business activities."

The Speedpost "Next Flight Out" service is now available to designated areas including the Asian cities of Singapore, Taipei, Manila, Penang and Kuala Lumpur, and three European cities - Paris, Amsterdam and London. Customers can make postings at 10 dedicated post offices including the General Post Office and Tsim Sha Tsui Post Office, or they can choose Hongkong Post's pick-up service for posting before the cut-off time. Items posted under "Next Flight Out"' will be put on the earliest flight available to ensure the shortage waiting time for conveyance.

Addressees can expect to receive their urgent items in major Asian cities by night time of the posting day at the earliest, and in the major European cities on the next day. Upon successful delivery, the customer will receive an SMS message to confirm the delivery status.
