Fact Sheet No. 3 – Hand-back datestamping services at HONG KONG 2009

Hand-back datestamping services will be provided at the Temporary Post Office at the Exhibition venue.  Apart from the special postmarks introduced for the Special Stamp Issue – “HONG KONG 2009 – 23rd Asian International Stamp Exhibition” and the Special Stamp Issue – “Hong Kong Museums Collection” on 14 and 16 May 2009 respectively for hand-back datestamping service, there will also be the special postmarks introduced for the daily themes for hand-back service at the Exhibition venue only during the Exhibition period. 

In addition, the Temporary Post Office datestamp will be used to provide hand-back datestamping service to official and privately made covers bearing the first day of issue indication with a local address on 14 and 16 May 2009. 

Moreover, the cachet for “HONG KONG 2009” and the cachet for the 10th Inter-school stamp exhibits competition will be available at the venue throughout the Exhibition period from 14 to 17 May 2009.  Detailed hand-back datestamping arrangements at the Temporary Post Office at the Exhibition venue during the Exhibition period are as follows:
