Hongkong Post today (May 15) held the "2009 Children Stamps Design Competition - Hong Kong in My Eyes" prize presentation ceremony at Hall 5G, Hong Kong Convention Exhibition Centre (HKCEC), the venue of the HONG KONG 2009 - 23rd Asian International Stamp Exhibition. The ceremony was officiated by Mr Benjamin Yung Po Shu, Principal Education Officer, Education Bureau, and Mr Dan Choi, Assistant Postmaster General (Business Development).
The competition was organised by Hongkong Post, with the Education Bureau as the co-organiser. The competition aimed to encourage children to design their own creative piece reflecting the uniqueness of Hong Kong, and 2,295 entries were received. Among them, four winners for the grand prize and 12 winners for the merit prize were chosen. The list of winners is attached at Appendix. The winning entries are also displayed at the HONG KONG 2009 exhibition, which is open to public with free admission.
The four grand prize winners' entries will be featured in the special stamps on "Hong Kong In My Eyes" to be issued by Hongkong Post in 2010.
