In order to provide a quick and convenient way for customers to post registered airmail items and in saving time for counter acceptance, HKP proudly presents four types of Prepaid Postal Boxes / Envelopes. The price of Prepaid Postal Boxes / Envelopes has already included Zone 2 Second Class airmail postage plus registration fee of prescribed weight limits of 100g, 200g, 250g and 300g. If the weight of the item does not exceed the prescribed weight limit, the item can be accepted at counter directly. Otherwise, the shortfall in postage should be made up by stamps. Prepaid postage is equivalent to Zone 2 postage for Second Class Airmail.

How to Post

1. Complete sender’s and addressee’s information and fill in the customs declaration form
2. The prepaid box / envelope is intended for posting at post office only

Note

1. Please do not drop a Prepaid Postal Box / Envelope into any posting box.
2. Each Prepaid Postal Box / Envelope can only be used once.
3. Postage is prepaid for Zone 2 Second Class ordinary registered airmail.
4. A registration barcode is pre-affixed to each Prepaid Postal Box / Envelope. Please do not replace it with any other registration barcode. Otherwise, the sender will be required to pay fresh postage and registration fee for posting the Prepaid Postal Box / Envelope.
5. If the mail item weighs in excess of the prescribed weight limit, the shortfall in postage shall be paid by means of stamps according to the postage for Zone 2 Second Class ordinary registered airmail.
6. If the Prepaid Postal Box / Envelope is used for posting of first class registered airmail, the shortfall in postage shall be paid according to the item weight by means of stamps according to the postage for Zone 2 First Class ordinary registered airmail.
7. To ensure mail security, mail content over the prescribed weight is not recommended.
8. Posting can be accepted to any destination of international mail.
9. Pre-paid Postal Boxes / Envelopes are sold in packs of ten.
10. No refund can be made for any Prepaid Postal Box / Envelope sending to any Zone 1 destination.

Mail Enquiry

1. Items can be traced starting from 2 weeks and within 5 months after the day of posting.  All enquiries and claims must be supported by Certificate of Posting for Registered Packets.
2. In case of enquiry, you may
   1. access our website at www.hongkongpost.com (under normal circumstances, delivery status up to departure from Hong Kong will be provided only), or
   2. call the enquiry hotline of Track and Trace System at 2921 2560, or
   3. complete and return an enquiry form (Pos 28B) or Pos 28B attached to leaflet Pos 815, which are obtainable from any post office.

Compensation

1. In the event of damage or loss, the maximum compensation amount will be HK$320 and also the charges and fees paid, with the exception of the registration charge. Compensation shall not exceed the declared item value or the amount of damage sustained. Indirect loss or loss of profits will not be taken into consideration.
