Hong Kong's Most Prestigious Business Award – "Hong Kong Management Association (HKMA) Quality Award" Calling for Entries

HKMA QUALITY AWARD

Modelled from the US’s world-famous Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award, the HKMA Quality Award established in 1991 aims to give recognition to organisations that have excelled in quality management.

SPECIAL AWARD FOR SMEs

Special Award for SMEs established in 2005 is a category under the Quality Award specially for small and medium-sized enterprises.  It aims to encourage SMEs’ pursuit of Total Quality Management .

BENEFITS TO ENTRANTS

The awards have been rewarding for all entrants:

1. The preparation and judging procedures themselves are already a valuable experience to broaden your horizon and enhance management level.
2. All entrants will have opportunities to consult with experts, and shortlisted entrants will receive a report prepared by a panel of leading experts.
3. Winners will be widely covered by ATV, the Hong Kong Economic Times and the South China Morning Post.
4. Successful stories of the winners will be published in the commemorative publication for distribution throughout the year. 
5. At the Quality Award Presentation Dinner, winners will have opportunities to network with the most prominent executives.

ORGANIZING COMMITTEE AND PANEL OF JUDGES

The Award Organizing Committee and the Panel of Judges are chaired by Dr David T K Sun, BBS, JP and Dr The Hon David K P Li, GBM, GBS, JP respectively.

APPLICATIONS AND ENQUIRIES

Applications are now open for the HKMA Quality Award and the Special Award for SMEs with closing dates on 11 December 2008 and 15 January 2009.
